MMSD honors students at Breakfast with Champions

MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Metropolitan School District honored students Monday at the first-ever Breakfast With Champions.

The event recognized students who showed commitment and excellence in co-curricular activities during the school year.

“What you’re doing is the basic fabric of making schools, schools,” Superintendent Carlton D. Jenkins told students. “We do our academics, but the co-curriculars are equally important.”

Each student enjoyed breakfast at Madison Memorial High School and was given a Superintendent Award of Excellence.

The honored students participated in activities such as athletics, forensics and the arts.
