MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota health officials announced Friday that they have been making preparations for coronavirus.

According to reports from WCCO, two samples from Minnesota were sent in to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for testing.

The news comes after a case was confirmed in Chicago, the second case to date in the US.

WCCO said two people from Minnesota whose samples were sent have been asked to isolate themselves inside their homes as a precaution.

Places in Wisconsin have also begun to take precautions, as patients visiting UW Health emergency rooms and urgent care centers will be asked for their travel history.
