Minnesota governor names pardoned turkey after Aaron Rodgers
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton pardons a Thanksgiving turkey he named after Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers has won a lot of awards because of his abilities over the past few years, but he has never had a turkey named in his honor.

Until Monday.

At a news conference Monday at which he pardoned a turkey just before Thanksgiving, Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton took the opportunity to rename the pardoned turkey Aaron, according to WCCO-TV.

Dayton said he gave the turkey the name after Packers Aaron Rodgers, who threw for 212 yards and a pair of touchdowns Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

AP is reporting that Dayton did not wish ill will toward Rodgers, just more incomplete passes.
