Minnesota Gophers cancel Tuesday’s practice ahead of Badgers game due to ‘presumptive COVID-19 positive tests’

MADISON, Wis. — The battle for Paul Bunyan’s axe might get the axe due to COVID-19.

Minnesota had 20 players out last week and won’t practice Tuesday because of possibly more positive tests.

As of Monday night, the game is still on and the Gophers plan on practicing Wednesday.

Saturday’s game will mark the 130th time the teams have met, the most in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
