Milwaukee police officer injured in shooting, suspect in custody
MILWUAKEE — A suspect is in custody after shooting and injuring a Milwaukee police officer around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, police said to WTMJ .
The officer was shot near South Hawley Road and West Main Street, near the border of Milwaukee and West Allis.
One officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, police say. A suspect was also injured and taken into custody. There’s not information on the suspect’s condition yet.
Police didn’t immediately have information for WTMJ on what caused the shooting.
