Middleton stops Madison Memorial, 71-63

Storm Murphy scored 26 points to lead Middleton to a 71-63 win over Madison Memorial in a Big Eight Conference boys basketball game in Middleton Saturday night.

Memorial led most of the first half, taking a 29-26 hafltime lead.

But Middleton has a 9-2 run to start the second half and never gave back the lead the rest of the night.

Tyree Eady added 14 points for Middleton while CJ Fermanich had 10.

Jake Ferguson led Memorial with 15 points. Chris Knight had 14 and Billy Wilson, 12.

Middleton stays alone atop the Big Eight standings with a 6-0 record. Memorial is now 4-2 in the conference.
