Middleton man arrested on 5th OWI offense

Middleton police seek possible hit-and-run driver

MIDDLETON, Wis. A Middleton man is facing his 5th OWI charge after recklessly driving a motorcycle Sunday evening.

According to Lieutenant Tyler Loether of the Middleton Police Department, 32-year-old Skyler Nerge was spotted driving his motorcycle recklessly around 6:30 p.m. near Century Avenue and Branch Street.

When police pulled him over, they noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from Nerge.

Police said Nerge failed a sobriety test and a breath sample revealed Nerge’s blood alcohol level was .18. In Wisconsin, the legal limit is .08.

Nerge was also cited for operating after revocation of his driver’s license and disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle.
