Middleton Cross Plains Area School District approves return to in-person instruction for grades Pre-K through 4
MIDDLETON, Wis. — The Middleton Cross Plains Area School District has voted in favor of a return to in-person learning for students in grades Pre-K through 4 starting in February.
School board members made the unanimous decision at a meeting Monday night. Grades Pre-K through 4 will go back to in-person instruction Feb. 1 as part of a blended model plan.
The board also temporarily approved the administration’s plans for the middle and high school but will return for another vote Feb. 8.
Board members went back-and-forth on what option was best from both a physical and mental health perspective, with questions on cleaning procedures and other concerns.
The district said it will continue to monitor local health data and adjust accordingly. Students will also have the option of continuing to learn all virtually.
