Mich.-Wis. carferry closed 3 days reopens
Boiler tube malfunction cancels vessel trips
LUDINGTON, Mich. — A carferry that runs between Michigan and Wisconsin is ready to hit the water once again.
The SS Badger has been repaired and is scheduled to resume its sailing schedule this weekend.
The vessel canceled Wednesday, Thursday and Friday sailings between Ludington to Manitowoc, Wis., due to a boiler tube malfunction.
The Ludington Daily News reported that the Badger’s engine crew was working late into the night Friday to fix the problem.
The carferry’s season runs through Oct. 13.
