MFD: 2 people, 2 dogs displaced after house fire

MADISON, Wis. — Two people and two dogs are displaced after a house fire on the north side Saturday morning.

The fire occurred on the 4100 block of Vidon Drive. Multiple callers reported the fire around 10:27 a.m. on Saturday.

According to officials, the cause of the fire is unknown at this time and under investigation.

One of the homeowners was present at the beginning of the fire and was able to evacuate. Officials say they were transported to the hospital by medics, but no information on if there were injuries was available.

A dog was rescued by fire crews and brought to a veterinary clinic.

Fire fighters were able to control the fire within 16 minutes of arrive. The estimated damage cost of the fire is unknown.
