Meteorological Spring set to begin on a warm note – Chris
MADISON, Wis. — The first day of March also marks the first day of Meteorological Spring, and right on cue, temperatures are sure to cooperate.
A warm front is slated to move through Wisconsin late Saturday, turning the wind directions from north to south. By Sunday, strong southerly winds will usher in temperatures much above normal for this time of the year.
Afternoon highs will likely reach 50 degrees for many areas, or fall just shy.
The difference, however, is that rather than being warm for just one day, an extended stretch of warmer temperatures is expected across much of the country through the first and even second weeks of March.
The News 3 Now First Warn Weather Team’s forecast keeps high temperatures in the 40s for the foreseeable future.
