What is the biggest news story that you've covered?

I had the absolute pleasure of covering the Royals during the team’s 2015 World Series win. I was live in downtown Kansas City where fans had gathered to watch the game on the big screen. The atmosphere was electric, and it was an experience I’ll never forget.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love being outside! So anywhere there’s a park or a trail...I’m there! I also really enjoy reading, so you might catch me at the library from time to time.

What is your favorite kind of ice cream?

My favorite ice cream flavor is black cherry from Union Dairy in Freeport, Illinois. My grandparents live in Freeport (go Pretzels!), and my family makes sure to stop for ice cream every time we visit!

What is your favorite place to vacation?

Just give me the sun, sand and a beach and, I’m in heaven!

Who is your hero and why?

My dad. He’s such a great example of hard work and determination.

What was your favorite band when you were in high school?

The Beatles...then and now.

What is your favorite sport to play or watch?

Some may argue with me, but cheerleading is a sport! I was a cheerleader from first grade through high school, and I still enjoy watching the college competitions on ESPN.

If you could possess one superhuman power, what would it be?

I would want to be able to fly!

What are you really bad at that you'd love to be great at?

Whistling! My dad and brother are both awesome whistlers, but I don’t even come close.

What is your most memorable travel experience?

I went to Europe the summer after I graduated college. We visited England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. It’s the only time I’ve been out of the country, and it was definitely a trip to remember!
