Medical examiner identifies victim of Janesville workplace shooting

JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim of last week’s workplace shooting in Janesville.

According to a news release, Devon J. Hills, 30, of Janesville, was killed in the shooting at Precision Drawn Metals on Tuesday afternoon.

The release said the autopsy found that Hill’s death was the result of homicidal firearm-related trauma.

According to an obituary on Hills’ death, his family said he “passed away following a senseless act of violence.”

The obituary also said Hills, who is survived by three children, was “quiet and laid back. He was a hard worker, a mama’s boy, and a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan.”

Kevin L. Todd was arrested by police shortly after the shooting. On Friday, his bond was set at $1 million.
