Medical examiner identifies three people killed in Rock Co. crash
ROCK COUNTY, Wis. — Medical examiners have identified the three people killed in a car crash in rural Rock County earlier this month.
The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department said Monday that 20-year-old Thomas Flick Lohmeier of Janesville, 19-year-old Bridget D. Crull of Evansville and 76-year-old Howard C. Walmer of Evansville died following the crash in the Town of Center on Nov. 5.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at the intersection of State Highway 11 and County Road H, officials said. Preliminary results from their autopsies confirm all three died as a result of their injuries.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Department previously said a Nissan Maxima was headed south on County Road H when it failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a Ford Escape that was driving west on Highway 11.
Officials have not publicly identified which people were in which cars at the time of the crash, which is still being investigated by the Rock County Sheriff’s Department and the medical examiner’s office.
