Med Flight responds to report of person pinned in crash on I-90
WINDSOR, Wis. — Med Flight and area agencies are responding to a report of a person pinned in a crash Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 90.
State traffic officials said the eastbound lanes of Interstate 39-90 at mile marker 129.4 were closed due to the crash at about 5:15 p.m. All lanes were reopen by 6:40 p.m.
A Dane County dispatcher said the communications center received a report that one person was trapped in the wreck, and a medical helicopter responded Tuesday evening.
Wisconsin State Patrol said the three-vehicle wreck involved two semitractor trailers and a Nissan Altima. When troops arrived, the Altima was under the trailer of one of the semis. Firefighters extracted the Altima driver, who was injured. The driver was flown by Med Flight for treatment.
State patrol said no other injuries were reported.
