McFarland PD unveils memorial for officer who died in crash
MADISON, Wis. — The McFarland Police Department unveiled a memorial Wednesday for Officer Ryan Copeland, who died in a crash in 2015 .
Copeland — a K-9 officer — was killed in a head-on crash involving a squad car and a Department of Natural Resources truck in November 2015. He was 33 when he died.
The memorial was created as a tribute to his service to his community and country, as well as a tribute to the men and women in the law enforcement profession who make the ultimate sacrifice.
The McFarland Police Department held an unveiling and dedication ceremony of the McFarland Law Enforcement Memorial Wednesday.
