Maxine L. Perry
Maxine L. Perry, age 95, of Janesville, died on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at Cedar Crest. She was born in Milton on Nov. 15, 1918, the daughter of Robert R. and Dorothy Ella (Ward) Westrick. She grew up a hardworking farm girl, milking cows, and cleaning the horse barn before going to school. She graduated from Milton Union High School in 1936, and married Walter J. Perry in Milton Junction on March 9, 1946. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2001. Maxine had been employed by WP&L. She was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women. She enjoyed gardening, was the volunteer coordinator for Meals on Wheels, and a caregiver to many, both family and friends.
She is survived by her 5 loving children: Margaret (Ron) Delaney, Ken (Sharon) Perry, Joan (Richard) Gates, Bill (Sandy) Perry all of Janesville and Edward (Mary) Perry of Caledonia; and a special son, Hakim (Brooke) Mansour of Hereford, AZ; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren with another due in January. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Wendell Westrick.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at CARGILL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with Rev. Forrest Wells officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY and again on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
Lasting Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc., or Cargill United Methodist Church.
