Masks to be required for Fort Atkinson students
The mandate will go into effect immediately and will be re-evaluated at a meeting in October.
FORT ATKINSON, Wis. — The Fort Atkinson School Board voted in favor of requiring masks for all students at a meeting Thursday night.
The mandate will go into effect immediately and will be re-evaluated at a meeting on October 26th.
The vote comes just hours after it was announced that a 13-year-old student in the district died Tuesday. The student’s family says COVID-19 contributed to his death.
Board members voted with only one vote against to institute the mandate.
