Masked men take money, rummage through purse at sandwich shop, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A sandwich shop was robbed at gunpoint overnight Tuesday in downtown Madison, according to a release.
Police were called just after 3 a.m. to the Milio’s at 2145 Regent St. after three people entered the restaurant when one of the two of the employees was taking out the garbage.
The three masked men stole money from the restaurant and went through the female employee’s purse, police said.
A K-9 unit was brought in to track the robbers, but officials said it appears they had a car waiting nearby for them.
The men are described as black and being in their late teens or early 20s, police said. They were all wearing black clothing. Two were wearing black ski masks and one was wearing a silver mask from the bridge of the nose down.
