Mary was born January 24, 1932 in Necedah, Wisconsin the daughter of Percy and Ruby (Blake) O’Dell. She married the love of her life, Mike, on August 2, 1952. They were blessed with 14 children that they raised on their family farm. Caring for her family was her life’s passion. She loved to garden, bake, sew (in her spare time); she enjoyed playing games, bingo, puzzles, and hanging out with her children and grandchildren. After the passing of her husband and after her children had grown, Mary felt blessed to have the opportunity to fulfill her life’s purpose, once again, by caring for her granddaughter, Mary Jane. This ignited in her a new sense of purpose and happiness, and no doubt, gave Mary a beautiful second half of her life. She selflessly committed herself to helping all of those around her, and she loved wholly and unconditionally.
