Mary A. Mallon

MADISON-Mary Ann Mallon, age 68, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. She was born in Beaver Dam on May 20, 1944, the daughter of Clarence and Marcella (Meyer) Wimmer. Mary Ann married Thomas Mallon on May 14, 1966, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. She worked at Artistic Beauty Salon before purchasing Jacobs Light House. Mary Ann enjoyed working with all of her customers until her retirement in 2001. She was a very active member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a wonderful flower gardener. Mary Ann was known to always place everyone else’s needs before her own; especially those of her family and grandchildren.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tom; son, Christopher (Heide) Mallon and their children, Petra and Renate; daughter, Ann Pekrul and her son, Wesley; mother, Marcella Wimmer; as well as three sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence and one brother-in-law.

A Memorial Mass for Mary Ann will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, from 4 until 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Sunday.
