Marshall man charged with sex assault, child enticement

A Marshall man was charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of child enticement.

Jon Huettner, 46, could face more than 170 years in prison if convicted on all charges.

Dane County Sheriff’s Department deputies, working in partnership with the Marshall Police Department, conducted a search warrant of Huettner’s home on Monday. Authorities arrested Huettner at his Arbor Vitae Drive residence in Marshall.

According to a criminal complaint, Huettner sexually assaulted a 25-year-old woman in 2002 when the victim was 15. The victim was a baby sitter of Huettner’s and she described how Huettner raped her on two different occasions in the summer of 2002, according to the criminal complaint.

Huettner was charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child under 16 years of age in relation to those alleged incidents.

Police talked with a 16-year-old girl who said Huttner touched her inappropriately in February. According to the criminal complaint, the victim said Huettner was the father of one of her friends. Huettner was charged with second-degree sexual assault in this alleged incident.

The criminal complaint described other incidents involving another teenage girl. An 18-year-old woman told police Huettner sexually assaulted her two years ago, including at his daughter’s birthday party. The criminal complaint said this victim is “very low functioning cognitively, about third grade” and is “absolutely at risk for being taken advantage of.”

In all, Huettner was charged with three counts of child enticement and three counts of sexual assault, involving four victims.

He was put on a $60,000 bail and will be back in court July 19.
