Mark Ferguson, age 67 of rural Oxford, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date to be announced.
Mark was born August 16, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Jesse and June (Kraus) Ferguson. He grew up in Wisconsin Dells and graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1967 where he was very involved in athletics. He was very proud to be scouted by the Boston Red Sox baseball team.
Mark furthered his education at U.W. Parkside for a teaching degree. His career path changed and he joined his father in construction as an electrician. Eventually he was self- employed in the Chicago area until retirement in 2012. He returned to the Dells area and lived out his dream of his “cabin in the woods”. Dear to his heart was spending time with his loving and devoted family, especially fishing with his son and grandsons.
Mark is survived by his son, Lance (Debra) Ferguson of Lakemoor, Illinois; daughter, Stephanie (Chad) Sandusky of Burlington, Wisconsin; brothers, George (Lynn) Ferguson of Kansasville, Wisconsin and Earl Ferguson of Roseville, California; sisters, Donna (Dan) DeFosse of Wisconsin Dells, Darlene Ferguson of Friendship, Wisconsin and Doreen (Robert) Busch of Adams, Wisconsin; and grandchildren, Cooper, Chase and Colt. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Diane Jacobson and sister in law, Darlene Ferguson.
