Marjorie Ann Holzem

Marjorie Ann Holzem, age 76, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Our House in Wisconsin Dells.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells with Father Bud Hollfelder celebrating. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, June 12, from 4:00 – 8:00 at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, Wisconsin and again on Friday morning, June 13, at the church from 9:30 until the time of the service at 10:30.

Marjorie was born on March 10, 1938 in Wausau, WI, the daughter of Leo and Elsie Bousley. She married Marvin G. Holzem on September 11, 1955. In addition to raising six sons and helping run the family business, Marjorie enjoyed in her younger years playing cards with family and friends, fishing trips to Canada and bowling. In more recent years she enjoyed traveling to Arizona in the winter and visiting many different casinos along the way. She also enjoyed bird watching out her back window.

She was an extremely proud grandmother and enjoyed following the many activities and careers of her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Marjorie passed away after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. The family wishes to thank the Home Health United Hospice team who enabled her to remain at home through most of her illness, as well as the staff of Our House Wisconsin Dells for their care during her final days.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Marvin; sons, Brian (Nancy) Holzem, Steve (Lisa) Holzem, Scott Holzem, David (Nancy) Holzem, Phillip Holzem, all of Wisconsin Dells and Parick (Stefanie) Holzem of Windsor, WI; brothers, Richard (Lucille) Bousley of Townsend, WI and Donald (Janet) Bousley of Texas; grandchildren, Katherine, Kassandra, Kyle, Danny, Christopher, Alexandra, Patrick, Kellie, Taylor, Michael, Amelia and Maren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond, Lloyd, Bernard, Robert and her sisters, Gertrude and Ruth.
