Marilyn Ann Moser

Marilyn Ann Moser, 85, of Richland Center passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at Pine Valley Healthcare.

She was born October 13, 1928, in Richland Center, the daughter of Theron and Margaret (Clark) Moser. Marilyn graduated from Richland Center High School in 1946. She was a faithful and lifelong member of the Peace United Methodist Church where she was a choir member for many years, taught Sunday school for 46 years, and was a member of the Builders Class.

Marilyn worked in the office of the Borden Cheese Company for 16 years and later worked at the former Farmers and Merchants Bank until she retired after 24 years of service. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, camping, playing games, and listening to music. Above all, she enjoyed her family and family gatherings. Marilyn had a gentle and compassionate spirit and loved her family and friends dearly. Before she lost her vision Marilyn’s passion was to send out several hundred greeting cards each year to friends and family. One of her pastors called her ‘The Card Lady.’ Marilyn was a wonderful sister, sister-in-law, aunt, friend, and will be greatly missed.

Marilyn is survived by two brothers: Maynard (Margaret) Moser of Richland Center, Will (Karen) Moser of Racine; Nieces: Brenda Moser of Arena, Barbara (Michael) Maier of Richland Center, Heather (James) Monkmeyer of Salt Lake City, Utah, Heidi (Paul) Williams of Milwaukee; Great-nieces: Rebecca (Pedro) Gomez, Rachelle (Eric) Purington, Anna and Lydia Monkmeyer, Isabel Williams; Great-great-nephews: Gabriel and Elias Gomez; Great-great-niece: Avalon Purington; Many other relatives, and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Marjorie Moser and special friend Darrel Carpenter.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bill Busch officiating with burial to follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.

The family suggests memorials in Marilyn’s name be directed to the Peace United Methodist Church or to GRACE.

The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
