Margaret Elaine (Coughlin) Harvey

Margaret (Coughlin) Harvey, age 88, of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lyndon Station with Father Clayton Elmhorst celebrating. Visitation will be held at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon,January 10, 2018 from 3:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. and again on Thursday morning, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 10:00 until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.

Margaret was born December 3, 1929 in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Mary (Kelly) Coughlin. She was the last living child born to John and Mary. Margaret married Richard Leroy Flint on August 7, 1949. Richard was killed in an auto accident in 1965. Margaret married Marvin Bernard Harvey in 1968. Marvin died after a long illness in 1989.

Margaret was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and served on sodality committees and church committees for years. She was the block grant/hud secretary for over 20 years for the area. She was also a bookkeeper for many years in the Lyndon and Dells area.

As a longtime resident of Lyndon Station, she volunteered for several community events, helped with the Lyndon Station Historical Album, the Lyndon Station Centennial Committee and was proudest of her involvement with building the Veteran’s Memorial. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Margaret is survived by her children, Mike (Carol) Flint of Reedsburg, Dave Flint of Lyndon Station, Eileen (Bob) Nowicki of Pontiac, MI, John (Deb) Flint of Mauston, WI, Maureen (Dave) Foster of Wisconsin Dells and Jeanine (Richard) Shawley of Eustis, FL; step-sons, Robert, Steve and James Harvey; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, William, James, Marie, Francis, Michael, Helen and Jeanette; her son, Gerald and step-son, Richard Harvey.
