Margaret Conway

Margaret Conway, age 92, of Hollandale, died peacefully on May 13, 2017, at her home.

She was born in Waunakee on February 18, 1925, to Francis and Mary (Dorn) Gilles. She married Dennett Conway on September 22, 1950 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Madison. She will be remembered for her love of her family, crocheting and knitting of doilies, afghans, and baby blankets for her children and grandchildren, her ability to can multiple vegetables and meats, and praying the rosary daily.

Margaret is survived by her children Dave (LeAnn) Conway, Mary (Charles) Bushey, John (Lisa) Conway, Richard (Caroline) Conway, Rowena (George) McGoldrick, Ron (Ellen) Conway, Theresa (Phil) Breunig, Denny (Mary Ann) Conway; her 24 grandchildren Szvon (Sara), Tabbitha, and Tianna Conway; Serena (Ryan) Rudzinski; Andrea (Jared) Gehling; Danielle (Neil) Gindlesberger; Jeremy (Amy) Thrasher; Jordan Kittleson; Rowena, Amber and Richard Traviss Conway; Matthew, Jeffrey and Christopher McGoldrick, Amanda, Benjamin and Nathan Conway; Catrina Conway, Nicole, Stephanie and Timothy Breunig; Anthony and Melanie Conway and Clayton Mork; her 11 great-grandchildren Sadie, Sydnee, and Sophie Conway; Abigail and Aiden Gindlesberger; Josilyn Gehling; Gabrial and Gracen Emmy Conway; Ava Scalesse; and Landen and Brycen Rudzinski; her sister Jeanette (Louis) Schwarz; her brother Bob (Mabel) Gilles; three in-laws Helen Gilles, Annella Gilles and Art Fahey. She is further survived by a close friend Jan Eastman and her children Robby, Randy, Rachelle and Cody. She also has 66 nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Dennett, in 1993; an infant daughter, Anita in 1953; a son, Michael in 2000; four brothers: Father Eugene, Wilfred, Alfred and her twin brother Martin; three sisters: Sister Frances Gilles, Frances Ann Rysewick and Clara Boland; two brothers-in-law: Andy Rysewick and Rolland Elmer; three sister-in-laws: Evelyn Gilles, Colletta Elmer and Kate Fahey.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Hollandale. Father Tom Gillespie will officiate. Inurnment will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Saturday, June 3,2017 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes, 330 County Road K, Fond du Lac, WI 54937 in memory of her sister, Sister Frances Gilles.
