Manerva H. (Van Why) Mathews
Manerva H. (Van Why) Mathews age 90 of LaCrosse, formerly of Richland Center passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021.
Manerva was born July 1, 1930 in Wilkesbarre, PA to Martin and Helen Van Why. She married Francis “Tom” Mathews on June 13, 1948.
Manerva worked many years at the Thrift Shop in Richland Center. She had her own domestic cleaning service and was a homemaker. She had a love and passion for gardening, especially her flowers. She loved to swing. She loved her family very much.
Manerva is survived by her four children Mary O’Connell of LaCrosse, Nancy (Danny) Deckert of Readstown, Gayle (Carla) Mathews of Oconto Falls, Randy (Jessica) Mathews of Flowood, MS, grandchildren Shane (Michelle) O’Connell, Dawn (Keith) Werthwein, Denise (Dan) Grass, Shaleen Mathews, Ashley (Heidi Jo) Mathews, Joshua (Bridget) O’Connell, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren, 2 sisters Esther and Joanie and Many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Francis Mathews, 4 Sisters and 1 brother and her parents Martin and Helen Van Why.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stafford Funeral Home. Pastor Craig Peach will officiate with burial in the Richland Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M until the time of service.
