Man who intervened in fight suffered broken jaw, police say
Attacker ran away, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A 21-year-old downtown resident suffered a broken jaw when he intervened in an argument between two men, according to a release from Madison police.
Police said the argument was taking place early Friday morning in the 400 block of Hawthorne Court. The victim said one of the men in the augment delivered a single punch. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The attacker ran away. He’s described as white, 6 feet tall with short brown hair, and wearing a dark jacket and jeans.
