Man walking dog struck, killed by train in NE Wisconsin

Police say a 46-year-old man was struck and killed by a freight train as he was walking his dog in Marinette.

Forty-six-year-old Jeffrey Lewis Clark of Marinette was walking his dog at the railroad crossing at about 1:45 a.m. Friday when the crash happened.

Investigators say train operators saw Clark between the crossing gates, but could not stop.

WLUK-TV reports Clark’s dog was being treated for injuries.
