Man traded crack cocaine for ‘rock rental’ SUV, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A man sitting in a stolen SUV Monday afternoon told police he traded crack cocaine for the vehicle, according to a release.
Clarence McKinney, 50, was found inside the SUV around 12:40 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Park Street, police said.
McKinney called the SUV a “rock rental,” but in fact it had been stolen when left unlocked and running Thursday night in the 1800 block of South Park Street, according to the release.
McKinney was arrested on tentative charges of driving or operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping.
