Man stabbed with kitchen knife, police say
Violence breaks out at social event
A Madison man was stabbed in the torso Saturday night when violence broke out at a social event on Madison’s north side, according to a release from Madison police.
Police were called to Sherman Terrace at 10:51 p.m. after an argument led to the stabbing.
The 29-year-old victim told police the attacker armed himself with a kitchen knife and a beer bottle. He said he was struck with the bottle and stabbed with the knife.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deric L. Richardson, 52, of Madison, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct while armed, obstructing and felony bail jumping.
