Man seriously injured after falling 22 feet from downtown roof
Police believe alcohol played a role in incident
MADISON, Wis. — A 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he fell an estimated 22 feet from a roof in downtown Madison early Saturday morning.
Madison police said the downtown resident fell from a roof in the 200 block of State Street onto a crevice between two buildings at about 4:30 a.m.
He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.
The victim had been out on the roof with a female friend getting some fresh air.
Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the incident, police said.
