Man robs Fitchburg restaurant, police say

Officers are investigating a robbery at a Fitchburg restaurant Tuesday night.

The Fitchburg Police Department said officers responded to Pancheros Mexican Grill on McKee Road at about 7 p.m. for a report of a robbery.

A man had entered the restaurant and demanded money using an “implied threat,” police said. After receiving money from the employee, the robber left on foot. A K-9 team attempted to track the robber, but it wasn’t successful.

None of the employees or customers were injured during the incident and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

The robber was described as white and approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, according to the release. He was wearing a black jacket, sunglasses, gray pants and brown boots.
