Man robbed at gunpoint in apartment building, police say

ME identifies man found shot on McDivitt Road

A south Madison resident was robbed at gunpoint in his apartment building early Sunday, police said.

Madison police said a 40-year-old man was in the foyer of his building on the 1100 block of Moorland Road at 1:30 a.m. unlocking the door to his apartment.

A man with a gun demanded money from him. The resident didn’t have any cash and the robber fled with the man’s cell phone and keys, according to the report.

According to the report, the robber was described as black, 5 feet 4 inches tall with a dark complexion and stocky build. He was clean shaven wearing a black top and gray shorts.
