Man passed out on Bay Bridge tells cops Tesla was on autopilot

A California man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after officers found him passed out behind the wheel of his Tesla, claiming he had set the car on autopilot.

KTLA reports the California Highway Patrol found the man on the Bay Bridge with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit to drive. Officer subsequently took the man into custody.

CHP tweeted the Tesla was towed, and “No it didn’t drive itself to the tow yard.”
