Man lurking in downtown with knife arrested
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said they arrested a man lurking behind a downtown home.
Officers responded to reports of a man with a knife Sunday around 1:30 a.m. in the 300 block of W Johnson Street. Residents from a home on Langdon Street said they had followed him there after seeing him come out from behind their house.
Police said the man pulled a knife from his pocket but did not attack anyone.
Officers located the suspect and arrested him at gunpoint without incident. The 28-year-old is a convicted felon, police said. He was arrested on two counts of bail jumping and carrying a concealed knife.
