Man killed in eastside motorcycle crash identified by medical examiner

MADISON, Wis. — Dane County authorities have identified the man killed in an eastside motorcycle crash over the weekend.

Madison police first responded around 9:30 p.m. Saturday after a passerby spotted the man and his motorcycle on North Stoughton Road near Pierstorff Street.

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 56-year-old Nicholas A. Rios. Officials said Rios was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Rios died of injuries he suffered in the crash.

Rios’ death is still under investigation by the Madison Police Department and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
