Man killed in domestic-related stabbing incident ID’d
Madison police said a 25-year-old Madison woman faces reckless homicide charges following a domestic-related stabbing incident Tuesday afternoon that left one man dead.
Madison police responded to 1186 Moorland Road around 2:05 p.m. for reports of a stabbing, officials said.
Terrence L. Woods, 31, was taken to a hospital with a life-threatening injury, where he later died, according to the release.
Investigators said the stabbing was likely a domestic incident between Woods and a 25-year-old woman, Cierra Finkley, of Madison. The woman was arrested after she was taken into custody for questioning.
Officers originally responded to a domestic disturbance around 11 a.m. between the two individuals where Woods tried to hit Finkley and a small child with a vehicle he was driving, according to the release.
Woods fled the area before police got there, officials said. Officers monitored the area and checked other addresses for him, but were unable to find him.
Shortly after 2 p.m., officers were sent back to the area for reports of a woman armed with a knife, according to the release. Officers found the man from the earlier incident in an entryway with a life-threatening stab wound.
