Man injured by broken glass after vehicle shot on north side
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are looking for a man they believe shot at another man in a car after a short disturbance.
Officers were called to the 1300 block of Forster Drive on Madison’s north side at 2:50 p.m. Friday after receiving a report of shots fired in the area, police said in a news release.
The officers talked to the victim, who told them he had been driving in the area when a pedestrian slapped his vehicle. The victim confronted the man, who pulled out a gun and fired it at the victim, police said.
The victim was retreating to his vehicle when at least one bullet hit one of the vehicle’s windows, police said. He suffered minor injuries from the broken glass.
Police believe the pedestrian fled the area on foot, the release said. He is described as a black man in his late teens or early 20s with shoulder-length dreadlocks with yellow or orange tips, who was wearing a black jacket over a black hooded sweatshirt, police said.
