Man hits tree, gets arrested for felony OWI
NEWVILLE, Wis. — Deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Friday for fourth-offense OWI after his car left the roadway and hit a tree, according to a news release.
Christopher Tolin, 54, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-offense OWI. Officials said Tolin’s vehicle left the roadway near the intersection of East Maple Beach Drive and North Crestwood Drive. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials observed signs of impairment. Tolin was arrested after the arresting deputy administered a standardized field sobriety test.
According to the release, snowy road conditions also contributed to the crash.
