Man hits three parked cars, arrested for drug possession

A man was taken into custody after police said he lost control of his vehicle and hit three parked cars on Madison’s south side on Friday evening.

Police said officers were dispatched to the El Pastor restaurant at 2010 S. Park St. at 6:45 p.m. on a report of a traffic incident. Officers found that Ryan J. Coyle had lost control of his vehicle before hitting a fire hydrant and three parked cars, police said in a news release.

Coyle was taken into custody on a probation hold and faces charges of heroin possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said.

All three cars that were hit were unoccupied, police said.
