Man hit with tire iron downtown, suspect at-large, police say

MADISON, Wis. — Police are searching for a man who they believe hit another man with a tire iron in downtown Madison early Saturday morning.
Madison police Lt. Anthony Bitterman said the 27-year-old victim was backing out of a parking stall in the 400 block of West Gilman Street around 2:45 a.m. when he backed into the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect threatened the victim and then hit him and his car with a tire iron, police said.
The victim was treated and released from an area hospital, police said. The incident remains under investigation.
