Man grabs woman on Madison’s south side
Woman says man approached her, touched her buttocks
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said they are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a 25-year-old woman.
Just after 3 a.m. Tuesday morning, the woman was walking in the 1900 block of South Park Street when she was approached by a man riding a bicycle, police said.
The woman told police the man pulled out some money and told her, “Come on, do something for it. You know you want to.”
She said the man then reached out and touched her buttocks.
The woman ran to a nearby pay phone and called 911, and an officer drove her to safety.
The man was no longer in the area.
Police said the assailant was described as a black man, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build, wearing a black hat, black shirt, blue jean shorts and a backpack.
