Police ask for help identifying man who grabbed money from open Walgreens cash register

MADISON, Wis. — A man grabbed money out of an open cash register as a clerk was attempting to make change for him Monday at 9:44 p.m. at a Walgreens on Raymond Road, police said.

According to an incident report, the man fled on foot and was last seen running toward Russett Road. In hopes of someone identifying the man, police have released surveillance images from the case. Those with information are asked to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.

He was described as a white man in his 40s. He is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 230 to 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey winter hat, a light blue shirt, black shorts and black shoes.
