Man fires gun during fight with girlfriend, police say
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — A Sun Prairie man turned himself in Wednesday night after reportedly firing a gunshot into a wall during a fight with his girlfriend, police said.
Sun Prairie police were called around 9:20 p.m. to the 1300 block of Park Circle for reports of a single shot fired inside an apartment in the Hamilton Place Apartments, according to a release.
The caller told police her boyfriend had fired a single round into an exterior wall of the apartment during an argument and then left the apartment on foot.
Police contacted 32-year-old Clyde Johnson, who turned himself in without incident at the police department, according to the release.
He faces a tentative charge of second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Police found the round lodged in the wall of the apartment. No one was struck by the gunfire and no one was injured, according to the release.
Officials said this was an isolated domestic incident and there is no threat to the public.
