Man fighting at liquor store fired gun; Madison man injured

One man was injured Friday night as he and an armed man fought at a south Madison liquor store, police said.

Madison police said a 20-year-old Madison man and another man got into an argument at West Badger Liquor, 714 West Badger Road, at 9:04 p.m.

The fight turned physical, and one of the disputers displayed a gun, then fired multiple rounds before leaving the scene.

The 20-year-old man was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening wound, according to the report.

Police said the two men seemed to know each other and the shooting did not appear random.

The man with the gun was described as black, in his 20s with a large tattoo on his neck or chest.
