Man falls off bluff during police pursuit
Deputies were investigating potential burglary
CASSVILLE, Wis. — A Cuba City man was flown to UW Hospital after falling from a bluff during a police pursuit.
Grant County sheriff’s deputies were called at 10:03 p.m. Sunday for a report of two people who were believed to be breaking into a home in Cassville.
Deputies arrived and chased the two men. Troy Mitchell, 51, of Casseville was caught. The other man, Daniel Udelhoven, 22, was tracked by a K-9 to the top of a hill north of Bluff Street. Police said he was found on a rock ledge, and he fell 20 off the edge of the bluff.
Udelhoven was taken to Grant Regional Health Center and later flown to UW Hospital in Madison.
Udelhoven was wanted by probation and parole. He was also arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Lancaster police, Cassville EMS and Cassville fire assisted with the case.
