Man faces felony OWI charge for driving drunk with minor in vehicle, sheriff says
DANE COUNTY, Wis. — A Madison man is facing a felony charge after allegedly driving drunk with a minor in his vehicle.
Officials with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office said 49-year-old Roy Burgin was pulled over at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday in the city of Madison for driving with a revoked license.
However, the deputy conducting the traffic stop arrested Burgin on his third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, according to a release
Burgin was also driving with a passenger under the age of 16, which makes the offense a felony, sheriff’s office officials said.
Burgin was then arrested on a felony OWI charge and cited for operating a vehicle with a revoked license.
