Man ejected from car, dies after crash with semi

JANESVILLE, Wis. — A man is dead after crashing into a semi-truck and being ejected from his car on Highway 14 near N. Polzin Rd., early Friday morning.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says a 48-year-old man from Janesville was driving his GMC SUV westbound on Highway 14, before crossing the center line and colliding head-on with an oncoming semi-truck.

The driver of the SUV was ejected from his car and pronounced dead on the scene. His car was engulfed in flames when crews arrived.

The driver of the semi, a 50-year-old from Albany, was uninjured.

The crash closed Highway 14 for over three and a half hours between N. County Highway H and N. County Highway F.
